So Girls Really Are Smarter Than Boys?

A study from the Institute for Jewish Policy Research in London shows that girls in Jewish schools in the UK consistently outperform boys in all subjects. Especially interesting, according to an executive of the research firm, is that in Judaic subjects-“arguably the raison d’etre of Jewish schools”-girls also beat out the boys. More girls than boys take the Hebrew “A-levels,” state exams, so in coming years women will swell the pool of candidates for top posts in Jewish education.
