Rosie, Ward and the Big Tent

Subtitled: “Life may not be perfect, but it is very, very good,” this is a downloadable 32-page picture book by psychologist, author and activist Nechama Liss-Levinson. It tells the story of Rosie, a Jewish second grader, and Warda, a recently arrived young Muslim Syrian refugee, and aims to develop awareness and empathy for refugees and immigrants. Available from HIAS, which works for a world in which refugees find welcome, safety, and freedom. hias.org/blog/new-refugee-themed-childrens-book-raises-awareness-and-empathy
