Summer 2000.] Thanks to Stop Dr. Laura.com, an online campaign that shone the spotlight on her hateful homophobic rantings, her television program sank like a stone. And Stop Dr. Laura.com won two “Golden Dot” awards this past April. George Washington University and the Democracy Project confer this biennial award upon organizations or individuals who best use the Internet to influence public opinion or policy.
