American Women Seek Ties

A group of North American Jewish women are discussing the formation of an ad-hoc committee to facilitate liaison between Israeli and American feminists.
The women, many of whom are active in the major American Jewish women’s organizations, have had two organizational meetings as of this writing. They are considering support of various aspects of the women’s movement in Israel, possibly those projects for which there is no other funding. At the very least, the committee would like to disseminate to American women information about Israeli feminist projects and their addresses to enable visitors to Israel to meet directly with activists.
